So, HE’s here! Hubby and I are thrilled to have our little boy, Theo, born on March 8th at 8:38pm weighing 6lbs 8oz and measuring 19 inches long! Labor was extremely challenging, but I am proud to have birthed Theo all natural-no medical interventions here, people!!! We utilized all the knowledge we learned from our Bradley classes and were incredibly prepared. I would do it all again-just to relive the surprise moment when my husband shouted, “it’s a boy!”…it was all we ever dreamed and more!
So now Theo is one month old…cuter and chubbier, keeping us up at night, and making us smile all day. He now weighs 8lbs 10oz and measuring 20 and 1/4 inches long. My husband has been home from work for the entire month and I vowed to give myself the entire first month off to be with my new family, but today my husband has returned to work and well, so must I.
Honestly, it isn’t easy to even get the hour to sit here and blog. I had to feed, change a diaper and rock for about an hour just to get Theo to dose off enough that I could put him in his swing to write this. No matter how tough it is now, though, I know it’ll get easier and getting back into my routine is good for me. I am glad to be back and excited because wedding season is upon us! I’ll have so much to share!!!
And now for your viewing pleasure….

Baby will be here any day now (although, I feel pretty sure I’ll be one of those ladies who goes a couple weeks past the due date) and I figured it made sense to share with you our bump shoot, because before you know it I’ll be sharing with you our newborn shoot. Totally nuts!
We worked with one of our favorite photographers, Butterworks Photography (featured here). We had talked about this shoot for awhile and always envisioned a snow-covered, winter wonderland. Unfortunately, as many of you New Englanders know, this winter has just not cooperated. It’s been warm..so warm that daffodils are popping up. Poor things are so confused. We thought for sure our winter shoot was going to look far more Spring-like. But then it snowed! The day before our shoot we got about eight inches or gorgeous powder. It was like our little baby bump shoot dreams come true! Check out some of the photos below, as well as some of our shoots features on other blogs here and here.

Happy Valentine’s Day!!! I hope you are all enjoying this day by doing some extra gushing over the love in your life. Sadly, my hubby is away on business, but he did surprise me yesterday with a beautiful bouquet of garden flowers and a gift certificate for a pre-baby manicure and pedicure. Whatta guy! I have a few things up my sleeve to work on for him today to surprise him with when he returns from his trip. I will tell you though, this baby is sucking up all my motivation and energy in these last few weeks of pregnancy (as I am sure you can tell by my lack of posts).
Now, check this out! If this doesn’t inspire you to celebrate Valentine’s Day-I don’t know what will!

Sarah & Geoff’s Coastal New Haven Wedding
When my cousin Geoff introduced Sarah into our family we were all thrilled and secretly hoped that a wedding was in the future for the two. So of course I was ecstatic to hear of their engagement, but when Sarah contacted me to help with some DIY projects and to coordinate the wedding day I was beyond honored! Wedding coordination always gives me a thrill, but this time it would be extra special!
Sarah and Geoff planned a coastal wedding at the incredible Lighthouse Point in New Haven, CT. The royal blue and yellow colors kept things fun and vibrant. The carousel brought us all back to childhood. The food, a Summer BBQ style, was mouth-watering. Not a guest without a smile on their face, but no smile larger than that on the bride’s face! What a joy to work with them and watch them soak in their big day.
Through this process I was able to work with some incredible vendors and this included the incredibly talented Neil Landino of Landino Photo! Please enjoy his photography of this very special day below. And Sarah, please know how exponentially better our family has become since you joined it! Thank you for asking me to be a part of your beautiful day!

Ok, first of all, it’s been a crazzzzzzzy long time. I never anticipated how busy life could get and how easily blogging can get lost in the madness. Pregnancy is getting the best of me and most of my days are spent in preparation for this little guy or gal. Enough of the excuses….let’s just say blogging is important to me, so I will be making it a priority (ahem…perhaps a new year’s resolution?…much better than hitting the gym!).
So, Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday/season/time of the year. I always felt this way and assumed as I would grow up that my cheermeister self would fade…but, nope. Not even a little. I live for it. I love it so much that the tree needs to be up by the first weekend in December, the gifts start being purchased in November and the gatherings with friends and family occur every waking (weekend) day. The car radio is set on that non-stop Christmas music station and all of a sudden my pregnancy cravings have gone from cereal to hot cocoa. Mmmm! So you see…I love this holiday. Can you believe hubbs and I will be celebrating with a lil baby next year?! What more could I ask for? Oh..yeah, that’s right…how about these things below.
Even though the baby isn’t here yet, this Momma-to-Be couldn’t resist asking for these sweet books to put in the nursery. I want every single one of them. (Especially the Paris, New York, Ireland, San Fran ones…..oh and the rest of them!)

Ok, so I know UGGs aren’t the most original gift out there, but when you’re preggers they literally are the best thing to slip onto your tired, achy feet. I have been rocking them since the early college years and I’m making a full circle because my first pair was black, then grey, then chestnut and this year, I am back to black!

This next item on my wish list is so essential….one, because my daily routine includes an hour DVD of prenatal yoga and two, because while I am in the hospital and then home recuperating from what I am praying is the smoothest labor and delivery of all time…THESE are all I will be wearing. I honestly cannot get enough yoga pants…but, really, who can?

A scarf makes the list every year, but this year I am hoping for a big ol’ knit scarf in a neutral color. This one’ll do.

Not that I need them, but I cannot resist a cute motif..and these bicycle glasses are to die! You want them too now, don’t you? I don’t blame you.

So that concludes my wish list-what’s on yours? I’d love to know!

I love using feathers as details for events, but especially in the Fall. When I stumbled upon this gorgeous wedding shown on Green Wedding Shoes-I literally stopped in my tracks. It. Is. Stunning. Seriously?! Not every bride would put something so bold atop her head, but I am so glad this bride did! She is breathtaking. Feathers in your hair…sure that’s been done, but like this?…I have never seen anything like it!
In what ways would you incorporate feathers into your event?

This post is really a feature of two of my dearest girlfriends. One, the bride, is so special to me-she is sweet, sensitive, passionate and so much fun! This music video shows some highlights from her gorgeous, vintage inspired September wedding day. The other lady is my childhood/lifelong friend who you will not see in the video and that is because she is filming it! She is incredibly talented and literally the craziest (in a the best way) person I know! Working with her fabulous brother-in-law at Ufema Productions she is able to showcase her gifts through beautiful work such as this. This video makes me cry-because I love both the ladies in it and behind it!
